Der Wissenschaftler als Informationsanalphabet?Der Zugang zu Information ist bestimmt durch das Vorhandensein und die Fähigkeit zur Nutzung adäquater Erschließungsinstrumente. Der Beitrag gibt einen Überblick über die Entwicklung der Zugriffsmöglichkeiten auf wissenschaftliche Informationen in traditionellen und elektronischen Bibliotheken und einer "hybrid library". Dabei wird gezeigt, dass der technische, zeitliche und intellektuelle Aufwand zur Literatur- und Informationssuche kontinuierlich steigt. Einer größeren Informationsmenge und den verbesserten Zugriffsmöglichkeiten, steht ein erheblicher Mehraufwand für die Literatur- und Informationssuche gegenüber. Die Arbeitsbelastung der Wissenschaftler für die Informationssuche steigt seit Jahrzehnten kontinuierlich. Vor diesem Hintergrund diskutiert der Beitrag schließlich die Gefahr, dass auch hochqualifizierte Wissenschaftler im besten wissenschaftlichen Umfeld und hervorragender technischer Ausstattung durch die Diversifizierung des "information environment" zu information illiterates" werden können. Scientists as "Information Illiterates"?Access to information is determined by the existence of adequate retrieval instruments and the ability to use them. The contribution will give an overview of the development of facilities for accessing scientific information in traditional, electronic and hybrid libraries. It will be shown, that the technical, intellectual and time effort required for literature and information searches is increasing continuously. A greater information volume and improved access is confronted with considerable additional effort for literature and information searches. The scientists' workload in searching for information has been rising constantly for decades. Against this background, the contribution finally discusses the danger, that even highly qualified scientists with the best social and educational conditions and excellent technical equipment, are turned into information illiterates" by the diversification of the information environment. Le scientifique en tant qu'analphabète en information?L'accès aux informations est déterminé par l'existence et l'aptitude d'utiliser les instruments d'exploitation adéquats. Cette conférence donne un aperçu sur le développement des possibilités d'accès aux informations scientifiques dans les bibliothèques traditionnelles, électroniques et de la «bibliothèque hybride». Il est montré que la dépense technique, intellectuelle et de temps pour la recherche de littérature et d'informations augmente constamment. Les masses d'information croissantes et les possibilités d'accès améliorées affrontent une dépense supplémentaire considérable pour la recherche de littérature et d'informations. La charge de travail des scientifiques pour la recherche d'informations augmente constamment depuis des décennies. Vu sous cet angle, la conférence discute finalement le danger que même les scientifiques hautement qualifiés dans une meilleure ambiance scientifique avec un excellent équipement technique peuvent devenir des «analphabètes en information» à cause de la diversification de l'environnement informatique.
