IFLA is coming to Boston in August 16-25, 2001

For the first time in 15 years the United States has the honor of hosting the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) Council and General Confernce. IFLA’s 67th meeting will be held in Boston, August 16-25, 2001.

IFLA 2001 in Boston is being organized jointly by the American Library Association, American Association of Law Libraries, Association for Library and Information Sciences Education, Association of Research Libraries, the Medical Library Association and Special Library Associations.

The theme for IFLA 2001 will be "Libraries and Librarians: Making a Difference in the Knowledge Age". Programming will center on exploring how libraries and librarians become effective players in the Knowledge Age of the 21st Century.
