Ende des Dornröschenschlafes: Moderne Erschließung juristischer Dissertationen des 16-18. Jahrhunderts aus dem Gebiet des Alten Reichs

Das Max-Planck-Institut für europäische Rechtsgeschichte in Frankfurt besitzt eine bedeutende Sammlung juristischer Dissertationen des 16. bis 18. Jahrhunderts, die bisher nur durch einen unvollständigen Katalog aus Kopien der Titelblätter vor Ort erschlossen waren. Im Jahre 1998 startete die Bibliothek des MPIER ein koordiniertes Projekt, um diese Sammlung sowohl bibliographisch als auch visuell der wissenschaftlichen Öffentlichkeit zugänglich zu machen. Dabei werden die Schriften einerseits bibliographisch erfasst, andererseits werden bestimmte Schlüsselseiten digitalisiert und mit den bibliographischen Daten verknüpft im Internet zur Verfügung gestellt. Der Text schildert die Anfänge des Projekts, den heutigen Projektablauf sowie die Datenbank, mit der die Daten im Internet präsentiert werden.

The sleeping beauty awakes: Modern access tools for jurdidical doctoral theses of the 16-18^th centuries from the territory of the "Altes Reich"

The Max-Planck-Institut for European Legal History in Frankfurt owns an important collection of juridical doctoral theses of the 16th - 18th centuries, documented so far only by an incomplete catalogue consisting of copies of the title pages, which was accessible only locally. In 1998 the library of the institute started a coordinated project to improve access to this collection for the research community, bibliographically as well as visually. For that purpose all the papers are documented bibliographically and certain key pages of them are digitized. These pages together with the bibliographic data are offered as an integrated resource in the WWW. This paper describes the early phase of the project, the current project organization and the database, by which the data are presented in the internet.

La fin d'un long sommeil: Présentation moderne de dissertations juridiques du 16-18ème siècle sur le terrain du "Altes Reich"

L'institut Max-Planck pour l'histoire de droit européen à Francfort possède une importante collection de dissertations juridiques du 16 au 18^ème siècle, qui jusqu'alors étaient uniquement accessibles sur place et sur la base d'un catalogue incomplet, composé de copies des pages de titre. En 1998, la bibliothèque du MPIER initia un projet coordonné afin d'ouvrir cette collection au public scientifique, sur le plan biographique autant que visuel. Les écrits sont d'une part saisis bibliographiquement, d'autre part certaines pages clé sont numérisées et liées aux données bibliographiques afin de les mettre à disposition via Internet. Le texte décrit les débuts du projet, son déroulement actuel, ainsi que la banque de données par laquelle celles-ci sont présentées sur Internet.
