Die inflationäre Produktion it-basierter Buzzwords und Abkürzungen hält ungebremst an. Die Folge: Die Dominanz des Digitalen in einer analogen Welt. Das führt zu einer paradoxen Situation: Informationsarbeit mutiert zu einem Quasi-Monopol von Programmierern, Netzwerkingenieuren und anderen Informatik-affinen Professionen. Die Leistungen von Bibliothekaren, Dokumentaren oder Informationswirten erhalten den Charakter einer Nebensächlichkeit. In einer Reihe von Beiträgen wollen wir ein Bild einer Informations- und Wissensgesellschaft zeichnen, indem wir deren Basiselemente in einem gesellschaftlichen, kulturellen, wirtschaftlichen und politischen Kontext betrachten. Nachfolgend legen wir ein Fundament, indem wir den Zusammenhang von Semiotik, Kommunikation, Medien, Informationsbedarf herausarbeiten.

The unlimited inflationary production of IT related buzzwords and abbreviations keeps on going undamend. In consequence, the digital impuls dominates an analogous world. This leads us to a paradox situation: Information handling mutates towards a quai-monopol for software engineers, network specialists and other IT prone professions. Services from librarians, documentalists and informations scientists became negible. In a series of contributions, we will draw a picture of an information and knowledge society by working out its rudiments in the light of societal, cultural, economic and political context. The following lays ground for an information and knowledge society by showing the independency between Communication, Semiotics, Media and Information demand.

La production inflationnaire des mots-clés et des abbreviations sur la base de la technique d'information se continue sans retard. La conséquence: la dominance du digitalisé dans un monde analogue. Ceci meine à une situation paradoxale: le travail de l'information se transforme dans un quasi-monopôle de programmeurs, des ingénieurs de reseau et des autres professions liées à l'informatique. Le travail des bibliothécaires ou des documentalistes se characterise de plus en plus comme secondaires. Nous avons l'intention d'esquisser, dans une série d'articles, uns société d#information et de savoir, en considérant ses éléments des base dans un contexte social, culturel, économique et politique. Dans la suite nour mettons un fondament en élaborant les correlations entre sémiotique, communication, média et les besoins d'information.
