Libraries get their say defining Blackwell Publishing policy

Blackwell Publishing (www.blackwellpublishing.com) announced the formation of its first Library Advisory Board. Drawn from across the international library community, members of the board will be charged with providing input and advice on Blackwell's product development plans, publishing policies, and library sales and marketing strategies of the future. The inaugural meeting of the Library Advisory Board took place during the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA) conference in Berlin, Germany, on August 4th 2003. The agenda included discussions related to short term plans and longer term trends in journal pricing and purchasing models, and the place of online resources in the 21st century library.
