As from 1 April 2004, ProQuest Information and Learning (www.proquest.co.uk) have been chosen to take over sole distributorship of the British National Bibliography on CD-ROM (BNB), in the UK and International markets. Over the last 15 years, ProQuest and the British Library have built a very strong relationship, and this distribution arrangement will allow the British Library to concentrate on the development of their own collections, whilst receiving full support from ProQuest for the BNB.

The BNB's Current File contains all records from 1986 to the present day on just one CD. Published monthly, this collection allows users to identify titles, answer queries and keep up to date with current awareness searches. This interactive tool allows learning, research and resource discovery, with the added benefit of Internet access, including the British Library Online Catalogue.
