Im gegenständlichen Beitrag wird ein an der UB Graz durchgeführtes Benutzerforschungsprojekt vorgestellt. Ziel dieses Projektes war es, die Arbeitsplatzauslastung innerhalb der UB Graz - beschränkt auf die Fakultätsbibliothek für die Rechtswissenschaftliche und die Sozial- und Wirtschaftswissenschaftliche Fakultät der Universität Graz - zu ermitteln. Zu diesem Zweck wurden in einem ersten Schritt anhand von Gebäudeplänen Standort und Anzahl der Arbeitsplätze erhoben. Diese Erhebung stellte die Basis für die Entwicklung eines Beobachtungsschemas und die eigentliche Beobachtung dar. In der Folge wurde das Verhältnis zwischen besetzten und freien Arbeitsplätzen laut Beobachtung, der sogenannte Auslastungsgrad, berechnet. Die Ergebnisse lassen erkennen, dass dieser Auslastungsgrad nicht nur starken tageszeitabhängigen, sondern auch gewissen wochentagsabhängigen Schwankungen unterworfen ist. Am höchsten ist der Auslastungsgrad um die Mittagszeit sowie zur Wochenmitte. Der durchschnittliche Auslastungsgrad beträgt 28% bzw. unter Berücksichtigung der reservierten Plätze 54%. In this paper a case study investigating the capacity utilisation rate of work-stations located in the Law and Social- and Economic-Sciences Library of the Graz University is presented. For this purpose, the number and location of work-stations were investigated first. Next, an observation scheme was developed to analyse the degree of utilisation, measured as the proportion of taken to free work-stations. The observation results reveal that the degree of capacity utilisation heavily depends on the daytime as well as on the weekday, with the highest degree of capacity utilisation occurring around midday and midweek. On average, the degree of capacity utilisation was 28%, which increased to 54% when the sum of taken and reserved work-stations was taken into consideration. B.I.T.online 9(2006) Nr. 3

Dans cet article l’auteur présente un projet concernant les clients dans la BU Graz. C’était le tâche du projet d’analyser le taux d’utilisation des places de travail dans la BU Graz, limité sur les bibliothèques de Droit et des Sciences Sociales et Economiques. C’était sur la base des plans des bâtiments que furent déterminé l’emplacement et le nombre des places de travail, pour développer un système d’observation afin de définir la relation entre les places occupées et non occupées. Les résultats montrent que les taux d’utilisation dépend non seulement des changements quotidiens, mais aussi des changements selon les jours de semaine. Le taux maximum d’utilisation, a-t-on vu, c’est vers midi et vers le milieu de la semaine. Le taux d’utilisation est, en moyenne, à 28%, respectivement 54% avec places réservées.
