ProQuest Information and Learning recently announced that three products have been selected as finalists in the Software and Information Industry Association's (SIIA) 22nd annual CODiE Awards. Selected products include: ProQuest's Digital Commons, Serials Solutions' ERMS, ExploreLearning.com.

ProQuest's Digital Commons is a finalist in the Best Postsecondary Course/Content Management Solution category. Digital Commons is an institutional repository service - the online "commons" where an institution's intellectual output resides. An Open Access Initiative-compliant digital repository powered by technology from The Berkeley Electronic Press, Digital Commons showcases an institution's research, including papers, e-journals, theses, conference proceedings, special collections, and more.

Serials Solutions' Electronic Resource Management Service (ERMS) is a finalist in the Best Content Management Solution category. Serials Solutions' ERMS allows libraries to control selection, acquisition and management of electronic resources, using an industry-leading knowledgebase. Analytical tools simplify management of the e-resource lifecycle and convert data into actionable information. ERMS is integrated with Serials Solutions Resource Discovery products, or can also be used as a stand-alone solution.

ExploreLearning, from ProQuest Education, is a finalist in the Best Science Instruction Solution category. ExploreLearning Gizmos are online simulations for maths and science that power inquiry and understanding. Gizmos bring research-proven instructional strategies to the classroom for students in grades 6-12. In 2006, ExploreLearning was the recipient of a CODiE for the "Best Instructional Solution: Science".

Finalists move on to a second round of judging in which SIIA members cast their votes to determine the CODiE Awards Winners. The 2007 Codie Awards will be presented on April 17 at the historic Palace Hotel, San Francisco, CA.
