Die Perfekte Bibliothek
Der Aufsatz befasst sich mit der Fragestellung, wie die perfekte Bibliothek aussehen würde, und was die limitierenden Faktoren bei deren Umsetzung sind. Die Diskussion erfolgt auf Grund von gut und weniger bekannten Bildern und Visionen aus Geschichte, Fantasie und Literatur. Schließlich werden diese Ansätze mit dem Internet verglichen, um zu untersuchen, ob vielleicht Dienste wie Google Book Search et al. die perfekte Bibliothek darstellen. Besondere Berücksichtigung findet die Fragestellung nach den limitierenden Faktoren bei der Online Bibliothek im Internet: welches sind sie und wie könnten sie gelöst werden?

The Perfect Library
The article evaluates the question, what a perfect library would look like and which are the limiting factors when attempting to build such a library. The discussion focuses on well and less known images and visions from history, fantasy and literature. Finally these images are compared to the Internet in order to compare whether services such as Google Book Search et al. are the perfect library. Particular attention is given to the assessment of the limiting factors of the online library: what are they and how could they be solved?
