Nielsen + Talis

Nielsen Book and Talis have announced a partnership that allows Talis customers to access Nielsen Book’s BookData Multimedia MARC records from Talis Base – allowing a consistent supply of MARC data for libraries of all sizes and stock levels. The Talis Additions Partner Programme (of which this deal forms a part) allows access to Nielsen Book’s full catalogue of BookData Multimedia MARC records via Talis Base. However, Talis customers must subscribe to the BookData Multimedia service via Nielsen Book in order to use the MARC records for recorded music CDs and video (including DVD, Blueray etc). The service will allow librarians to catalogue products quickly and efficiently be that a full catalogue record for all stock or simply filling gaps.
