Vermittlung von Informationskompetenz ist nicht nur in Hochschule und Wirtschaft, sondern auch an allgemeinbildenden und beruflichen Schulen von zunehmender Bedeutung. Vermittlungspartner für die Schulen sind primär die Öffentlichen Bibliotheken sowie die Verbände im Bibliotheks- und Informationswesen. In der Vergangenheit haben auch Fachinformationszentren, Verlage, Hosts sowie Content-Anbieter im Rahmen von nationalen Initiativen und Projekten das Recherchieren in elektronischen Informationsquellen durch Lehrer und auch Schüler gefördert. Dieser Beitrag soll den Stand dieser Initiativen in Deutschland beleuchten und das Potenzial für eine Ausdehnung auf mehr Schulen abschätzen. Zu klären ist die Bedeutung der Informationskompetenz im Kanon weiterer Anforderungen und zur Lösung brennender Probleme an Schulen. Es werden Gelingensbedingungen formuliert und die möglichen Aufgaben sowie der Gewinn für die an der Vermittlung von Informationskompetenz in Schule und Unterricht Beteiligten untersucht. Delivering information literacy is constantly gaining in importance - not only in academic institutions and in business, but also at secondary and vocational schools. The main supporters for schools are public libraries as well as library and information associations. In the past, special information providers, publishers, hosts and content providers also have, within the scope of national initiatives and projects, encouraged teachers and students to use electronic sources of information. This article will discuss the status of these initiatives and the possibilities to collaborate with additional schools. The impact of information literacy - in connection with other competencies, and as a means of solving burning issues at schools - is yet to be determined. The prospects for a successful conveyance of information literacy concepts in schools and instruction are outlined, and possible tasks and benefits for anyone involved are examined. La mise à disposition des compétences en information ne cesse de gagner de l'importance non seulement dans les universités et dans les affaires, mais également dans les écoles d'enseignement général ou professionel. Les intermédiaires pour les écoles sont d'abord les bibliothèques publiques ainsi que les fédérations de bibliothèques et de centres de documentation. Dans le passé c'étaient les centres de documentation spécialisés, les éditeurs, les "hosts" ainsi que les fournisseurs de docs, qui grâce à des initiatives et projets d'ordre national, ont permis aux enseignants voire aux élèves d'accéder aux sources électroniques d'information. Cet article devrait éclaicir les initiatives entreprises en Allemagne et permettre un prognostic sur les possibilités de les étendre à plus d'établissements scolaires. C'est dans le cadre d'exigences ultérieures ainsi que dans la résolution de questions brûlantes que la signification des compétences en information doit être élucidée. Des critères de réussite et des tâches à remplir ainsi que l'apport pour le personnel enseignant concerné par la mise à disposition de ces compétences en information y seront analysés.
