New Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Ebook Subscription
Highlights Underrepresented Voices

Unlimited, multi-user access subscription from ProQuest
unearths an inclusive selection of publishers, authors and genres

A new Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Ebook Subscription from EdTech leader ProQuest is designed to help libraries address the challenge of building collections across topics of gender, race, sexual orientation, physical ability, age, and political and religious beliefs.

The ProQuest DEI Ebook Subscription includes thousands of titles from sought-after publishers all over the world. Ideal for remote and hybrid learning with unlimited, multi-user access, its content is curated to delve deeply into topics of race, gender, religion, gender and sexuality, disability, poverty and many more.

“Having the ebook subscription of DEI-focused titles greatly improves and enhances access to resources in this area," said Elizabeth Charles, Assistant Director (Digital Services, Systems and Collections) of Library Services at Birkbeck, University of London. "It is a timely development, as we are all looking to fill the gaps in our existing provisions.”

“Teaching, learning and research is evolving to better address the issues of diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice – but finding curated and comprehensive ebook content in these areas has been historically difficult for libraries,” said Audrey Marcus, Vice President of Product Management at ProQuest. “The new DEI Ebook Subscription makes it easier and more affordable. We’ve aimed to bring together a wide selection of publishers, authors and titles that ensure representation of voices and help libraries support the growing need for inclusive ebook collections.”

A variety of disciplines can benefit from the DEI Ebook Subscription’s interdisciplinary content, including STEM fields, film and arts, and language and literature. The subscription is available on the ProQuest Ebook Central® platform, the industry’s most intuitive ebook platform for users and librarians. Its new content will continue to grow, and has minimal overlap with other ProQuest ebook subscriptions.
