New Appointment completes ProQuest's sales & marketing team

ProQuest Information & Learning (www.proquest.co.uk) announced the appointment of Terry Robinson as the new Regional Sales Director for EMEA. With over twenty years experience in electronic publishing throughout the world, Robinson brings a wealth of relevant experience to ProQuest Information & Learning's international operation.

Robinson's background at Whitaker allowed him to become fully conversant in the electronic delivery of information whilst managing a resurrection of the brand re-establishing the company as an important player amongst the suppliers of information to the library market.

Simon Beale, Vice President Sales & Marketing, has purposefully expanded the ProQuest Information & Learning's international sales & marketing operation since his arrival in 2002. Arriving from Elsevier Science, Health Science Division in mid 2002, Beale brings over 15 years worth of publishing experience into this role.

Also joining the team in early 2003 were Sergio Farias, Regional Sales Director for the Latin America and Caribbean markets, Martin Marlow, Director of Strategic Marketing and Steve Duck, Director of Marketing Operations.

Farias has established a new regional office with full complement of sales and marketing staff in Rio de Janeiro showing ProQuest's commitment to expansion into these markets.

Marlow brings over 20 years experience in the electronic information industry to ProQuest having previously worked for companies including Blackwells and Silver Platter. Duck has over 15 years experience in the exhibition and direct marketing industry, two vital tools used extensively by ProQuest in growing their business.
